The PAL coins were created by the Steem Engine project. Steem-Engine is a DEX (Distributed Exchange) where you buy & sell crypto, thats why SE was involved..

The PAL airdrop was distributed from / on Steem-Engine.com. You can find lots more info online if you want it.

You should have had hundreds of PAL because the airdrop was based on your steem activity. You are more active than me and I collected 600+, so I'd guess you had 800+.

My guess is the palnet.io was working just fine. You only collected .219 because that is a "payout" not an airdrop. The airdrop was at steem-engine.com

PALNet is also more friendly. The playing field is more level because the douchbagdownvoters don't have any SteemPower advantage.

Beer Coin, Shit token, PALCoin, WeedCash, DTube coin and others. When I installed it, I found I had a few coins I didn't even know I had. No idea where they came from. I know, the info is on the Blockchain if I wanted to find out.
