The first thing I'd do is echo the previous respondant and say anything is possible in cryptocurrency. I'm not sure if the bitcoin price you have suggested of 5000 is a typing mistake? are you suggesting a drop to $5000 dollars? I have to say that i think this is pretty unlikely at this stage. I'm not as maximalist as some people but i do think we will likely easily be pushing 12,000 by the end of the year. The fact is that as an investment Bitcoin has outperformed pretty much every other asset and that is something hard for investors to ignore. Massive firms like Fidelity and Microsoft have plans to adopt bitcoin usage, these are big name companies and there involvement signals a new era of mass adoption, Bitcoin is moving out f the shadows of being "that funny internet Money" to being a serious asset that has a very limited supply and when demand increases against low supply prices go up, it's simple economics . In addition to this In May 2020 we have another bitcoin halving coming wherein the rewards for mining bitcoin will be halved, designed to keep Bitcoins 21 million supply and this has, in the past, driven bitcoin prices by double digit percentages.
As for Steem i think the $1 mark is possible but i wouldn't necessarily put any bets on it. What i will say is that Steem has performed really well this year and is one of the top performers in it's class. In January 2019 it was valued at $0.26 and by March it had hit a year high of $0.52 although it slumped back down in April through to the beginning of May we have seen some excellent, consistent gains as we approached mid month. I think we will get close but will struggle at around the $0.90 resistance but i do think we might start to see good growth sometime in 2020 and we may the break the $1 mark.
