Months ago, I made a post about reminiscing our visit to Laguna years ago. We had our eldest daughter with us then and one coming. You can read about it here.. I was looking forward to our next visit then with our three daughters.
So the day came when finally got the opportunity to visit Sta. Cruz, Laguna again. To my surprise, the rice fields that I had in the photo in my other blog will soon to be Camella Homes.

That field about is now this fenced land below in the video.
Though there are still portions of the land that is still rice fields. Just like this one.

We were not allowed to get in the fenced area so what we did we inquired how much if we are going to acquire one Camella house unit at their office. We did a site visit to the model houses.

The prices of the houses we can't afford this time. LOL But the good thing there, we were able to see and visit the place. My husband was sad to see the rice fields being converted to a subdivision. He remembered his younger years. They used to play on those fields with his friends and siblings. But what can we do? See the fields vanish.
Days ago, we heard another news that the coconut trees near my-in-laws residence were being cut. My husband again became sentimental. No more trees! :D
I am referring to these magnificent coconut trees which were decades old. But then again, the only thing we can do is see these trees fall to the ground. We were not there when the cutting happened and we don't own the land anyway. If only we had the power to stop it from happening.
This situation reminds me of the movie The Lorax. No more trees!! I just hope that we will not come to that point where trees are being endangered and worst extinct. It may sound exaggerated but it can happen if we humans will not take care of the only Earth we live in.
