Unexpected Reunion after Two Decades!

It was late in Sunday afternoon when my husband, Jay, picked up his former high school teacher and her family at the hotel where they stayed during their visit in Cebu. Early that day he found out that they are in the city for a tour. They are from Laguna, Philippines, Jay's his home province.

Upon knowing that they were in Cebu, Jay taught of meeting them and introduced them to us, his family. And so he did.

But prior to our meet up, I needed to attend a meeting at our church at the Temple Complex in Lahug, Cebu. While our meeting was on going, my husband and children were waiting for me. Jay and I agreed that we will meet his teacher at dinner time just right after our meeting's done.

Right after my meeting, he drove to pick up his guests. We waited for them at the Temple Complex. Our girls where playing on the grounds while I took few snaps of the Cebu City Philippines Temple and also of our daughters.

When the finally arrived, we took them for a short tour at the complex. Jay also showed them his work place which is also inside the said complex. The quick tour ended up taking a group picture in front of the temple. His teacher jokingly said, she will tag everyone in her social media post and let them know that they are in Cebu and they met Jay after two decades of not seeing each other.

The night ended with dinner in one of our favorite restaurant AA BBQ Salinas Drive branch. We talked over delicious food. They were reminiscing the times when Jay was her student. It was a joyful reunion that started with a short walk then dinner.
