And so her birthday came! She's been counting days in the calendar before her birthday last June 27. It's just that she's excited.
Prior to the date, she mentioned stuff she wanted as a gift. And it kept changing everyday! LOL I just reminded her that we will only buy what we can afford.
She wanted to give her classmates something. Before her dad went to work, he and she went to the nearby grocery store and bought candies and chocolates. We didn't have loot bags. We used the rolled plastic instead. We were able to make 20+. Not much inside but I guess these will make the children happy. Just sharing a little to her friends and classmates.
I send her off to school and informed her teacher about the candies. Janella told me her classmates sang a happy birthday song then she distributed the goodies to them.
Our very close next door neighbor cooked carbonara as her gift to Janella. She never miss giving our children gifts whenever it is their birthdays. And so we had carbonara for dinner, and crispy fried chicken (cooked by my husband). As for her cake, we bought cupcakes, candle and I have a Happy Birthday topper.
We sang Happy Birthday before eating. We had a very simple celebration. We are grateful to God for giving her another year. Giving thanks for the wonderful life despite challenges.
During the previous days all the members of our family were not feeling well. We are grateful that everyone is getting better now. Especially with the coughing. On the road to full recovery. π
As for her gift, we have ordered dresses for her online sponsored by her grandfather (my Papa) because that the gift she wanted for her birthday.
We are grateful to generous family and friends who shared their blessings .
Thank you for reading!
