Last Sunday was Father's Day! It is always a joy when we take time to honor all the fathers for the hard work they have done for each of their families. This being said, at church, we had our way for making the fathers in our congregation special on their day.
During the Sunday service, our children had a special musical number dedicated to all the fathers present. They sang 'Daddy's Homecoming' and 'A Child's Prayer'. The dads took part in singing with the second song. It was heart warming to see and hear our children sing with the daddies.
After the church service, we had a get together potluck lunch. We brought food to share for everybody. We brought dessert. Others the main course and drinks. There were plenty of food. We even had two roasted pig (Lechon) :D
I took photos of the food before being devoured by everyone present LOL!
Before we start eating, we let all the fathers seat together and had their picture taken. Afterwards, the children gave them their gift that composed of a mug, a bottle of Gatorade, cookies and chocolates.
All the fathers last Sunday.
My husband with our girls.
Our children took part in the preparation of the mugs. The day before Sunday, together with other children, they decorated the plain mugs with personalized father's day message using markers. My bad, I was not able to take a picture of the newly given mug. But instead just took a photo of it a while ago. Some portions are already erased.
Our Father's Day Celebration at church ended up with everyone filled both spiritually and physically. I am grateful for righteous fathers who do not take for granted their vital roles. I am personally grateful to have been raised by a great father.
To my husband, Arjay, I appreciate and I am full of gratitude for being the daddy that He is to our children.
To all the Fathers who is reading this post of mine, Happy Father's Day!
Thank you for reading!
xoxo,
Met
