Bangladesh is a riverine country.There are 230 rivers in Bangladesh including tributaries.The people of this country have an inseparable relationship with rivers and boats.There was a time when the main route of the people of this country was river route,boats used to travel from one place to another by char.Boats are still used to cross rivers in many parts of Bangladesh.
