Next Sunday is Mother's Day here in Cuba. Finding a suitable gift is sometimes a bit complicated.
I appreciate any gift I receive and if it is handmade by the person who gives it to me, even more.
Knowing that someone took the time to think about and make a unique present, meant for me, is something special that I really appreciate. And I dare to say that almost everyone feels the same way.
This year I decided to decorate some rocks to give as gifts for this celebration. As Mipiano says, this rock painting thing is addictive 馃槆.
This one in question, initially had an idea for its design, but I was not pleased with it. I repainted it in white. I let the strokes run free, imitating the waves of the sea, without predetermined lines.
The choice of colors responds to those that predominate in the decoration of its future owner. In this way, this rock loaded with goodness and good energies will integrate itself organically into the space.
When it was already painted, I felt that something was still missing and I decided to make some broken lines imitating stitches, an element that I often use in the handcrafted items I make.
Like any gift, it needed a wrapping. I decided to reuse a bottle that I had saved. But not before making some improvements 馃槆.

El pr贸ximo domingo se celebra aqu铆 en Cuba el d铆a de la madres. Encontrar un regalo adecuado a veces es un poco complicado.
Aprecio cualquier regalo que reciba y si es hecho a mano por la persona que me lo regala, a煤n m谩s.
Saber que alguien dedic贸 su tiempo a pensar y hacer un presente 煤nico, destinado para m铆, es algo especial que aprecio mucho. Y me atrevo a asegurar que casi todo el mundo piensa igual.
Este a帽o he decidido decorar algunas rocas para regalar con motivo de esta celebraci贸n. Como dice Mipiano, esto de pintar rocas es adictivo 馃槆.
Esta en cuestion, tuvo inicialmente una idea para su dise帽o, pero no me complaci贸. La volv铆 a pintar de blanco. Dej茅 que los trazos se hicieran libres, imitando las olas del mar, sin l铆neas predetermindas.
La selecci贸n de colores responde a los que predominan en la decoraci贸n de su futura due帽a. De esa manera, esta roca cargada de bondad y buenas energ铆as se integrar谩 de manera org谩nica al espacio.
Cuando ya estaba pintada sent铆a que a煤n faltaba algo y determin茅 hacer unas l铆neas discontinuas imitando puntadas, elemento que suelo utilizar con frecuencia en los art铆culos artesanales que realizo.
Como todo regalo, necesitaba una envoltura. Decid铆 reutilizar un envase que ten铆a guardado. No sin antes hacerle algunas mejoras 馃槆.
