Yesterday was one of those days when I didn't feel like doing anything. I was at home all day pacing back and forth on my couch...procrastinating!!!!
The conditions didn't help my discouragement either. At about 1:00 in the afternoon 3 drops of water and 1 lightning struck and they cut the power, I guess as a "precaution". Apparently they forgot to reconnect it, although after 5 minutes the sun was cracking the stones.
We stayed like that until almost 5:00 in the afternoon when, happily, the power came on. Only 20 minutes later the downpour began. Now it was raining cats and dogs and the rain was accompanied by some good lightning, of course .... again cut the service 馃槒.
The intense storm lasted less than 10 minutes and again the sun came out radiant. I lifted my body off the couch and grabbed the camera, at least I would do something productive on this day 馃樁.
From my 5th floor I don't have much to admire outside, besides my neighborhood doesn't provide much to be admired either 馃き. From the terrace I spotted a lone pigeon on the electrical wiring. I set out to take some pictures of it, playing photographer 馃ぃ.
To my surprise a male pigeon approached with intentions of conquest.
Luckily the boy was persistent because only the fourth photo was in focus 馃ぃ.
But my empowered and lonely female pigeon was not for those stories. Neither short nor lazy she took flight. The insistent lover flew after her...intense the boy 馃え.
After fluttering around for a while they ended up on a TV antenna. She annoyed and he trying to act tough 馃槅.

I went back to look at the pigeons and they were just as I left them. With nothing more to report about it, I remembered that behind our room there is a mango tree and this rain must have been a blessing for its fruits. It is very hot these days and it has rained very little. I managed through the slats of the shutter to take this picture for you.
At that moment the electricity came back on. I was already off my couch and it was time to cook 馃ゴ. Too bad we still need to ingest elaborated food ...better times will come 馃槣.

Ayer fue un d铆a de esos que no ten铆a deseos de hacer nadaaaa. Estuve en casa todo el dia recorriendo mi sof谩 de un lado a otro...procrastinando!!!
Tampoco las condiciones ayudaron a mi des谩nimo. Sobre la 1:00 de la tarde cayeron 3 gotas de agua y 1 rel谩mpago y cortaron el servicio el茅ctrico, imagino que por "precauci贸n". Al parecer olvidaron reconectarlo, aunque a los 5 minutos el sol rajaba la piedras.
As铆 estuvimos hasta casi las 5 de la tarde cuando felizmente se hizo la luz. Solo 20 minutos despu茅s comenz贸 el diluvio. Ahora s铆 estaba lloviendo a c谩ntaros y la lluvia estaba acompa帽ada de unos buenos rel谩mpagos, por supuesto....otra vez cortaron el servicio 馃槒.
La intensa tormenta duro menos de 10 minutos y nuevamente sali贸 radiante el sol. Levant茅 mi cuerpo del sof谩 y tom茅 la c谩mara, al menos har铆a algo productivo en este d铆a 馃樁.
Desde mi 5to piso no tengo mucho que admirar afuera, adem谩s que mi barrio tampoco brinda mucho para ser admirado 馃き. Desde la terraza vi una paloma solitaria en el cableado el茅ctrico. Me dispuse a tomarle algunas fotos, haci茅ndome la fot贸grafa 馃ぃ.
Para mi sorpresa un palomo se acerc贸 con intensiones de conquista.
Por suerte era persistente el muchacho porque solo la cuarta foto qued贸 enfocada 馃ぃ.
Pero mi empoderada y solitaria paloma no estaba para esas historias. Ni corta ni perezosa levant贸 el vuelo. El enamorado insistente vol贸 detr谩s de ella...intenso el chico 馃え.
Despu茅s de revolotear un rato terminaron sobre una antena de televisi贸n. Ella molesta y el tratando de hacerse el duro 馃槅.
En ese momento pas贸 un almendr贸n (carro americano de los 50) por la calle y yo fajada con la c谩mara para capturar al susodicho. No me acordaba que ten铆a un teleobjetivo puesto, por poco se me va del encuadre. De contra que no hab铆a muchas cosas interesantes...馃ズ.
Volv铆 a mirar a las palomas y estaban tal cual las dej茅. Sin m谩s nada que reportar al respecto record茅 que detr谩s de nuestro cuarto hay un 谩rbol de mangos y que esta lluvia debi贸 ser una bendici贸n para sus frutos. Hay mucho calor en estos d铆as y a llovido muy poco. Logr茅 a trav茅s de las tablillas de la persiana tomar esta foto para ustedes.
En ese momento volvi贸 la luz el茅ctrica. Ya estaba fuera de mi sof谩 y tocaba cocinar 馃ゴ. Que pena que a煤n necesitemos ingerir comida elaborada ...vendr谩n tiempos mejores 馃槣.
