I reached a milestone! 2000HP. It’s time for a quick review to the bumpy road to here and set up some new goals.
Well last week I received a badge 5 years on HIVE, and what a long journey it was. And with this “birthday” I managed to achieve the 2000 HP milestone. It’s not that much, but it’s not so little as well. I think just recently my pace has increased a lot and from now on the HIVE experience would become just better.
When I started my journey in the other platform, from the days when HIVE network wasn’t born yet, I wasn’t very aware of what exactly am I supposed to do here. I started with my introduction post and it got a very good result. Well, the successive posts didn’t have any topic and as a minnow, my reputation wasn’t good, so my posts didn’t receive much attention. I tried to share some photos from trips, or some quick “thoughts” of mine. Most of the time I was getting rewards of about 0.05-0.1 USD. I was a bit upset about everything of this and saw that the things won’t gonna happen easily.
Right then came the great #beersaturday community of the great @detlev and with this competition I found my first community here.
Some of the fellows like @harveyword ,
@ablaze and
@rynow are in my friends list since then and they continue to fill up my feed with great posts. With the beersaturday community I really managed to get some nice rewards and a lot of attention on the platform. Then bit by bit I managed to build my account, with small steps, but steady ones. I guess after a very nice run a bit of frustration and tiredness came and I almost stopped posting entirely. Maybe not entirely, but my activity on the platform was minor. I think thats when the HIVE network was born and I became more active again.
My journey in this new network started with about 1400-1500 HP and the road to 1600 HP was pretty slow. That’s when I found the Cinnamon Cup of Coffee community. They was the point in time when I started enjoying HIVE network even more. Finding friends like @millycf1976 ,
@chinito and
@yosoyada that share your passion certainly feels amazing and makes your stay on the platform much more enjoyable. The coffee experience becomes very international for me and gives me various facts and information about coffee drinking habits all around the wold. Posts in this community, along with some other ones helped me boost my HIVE power at a very fast pace of about 120-140 HP per month. This surely is not so impressive, but I never managed to achieve similar pace before.
And with more HP I try to encourage smaller accounts of various minnows. I really try to encourage better content and always check the posts relatively carefully before upvoting them. And, hell, I like communicating with people and giving/receiving feedback on the posts.
The information from hivestats states that I have generated 288 hive power only from curation. This isn’t that much, but with the temps of my HP increase it will become a lot more in no time.
On the other hand, the HBD interest rates made me move all of my rewards in savings and for the last two or three months I managed to save more than 300$. They are currently generating me about 5,5$ per month, but this could easily escalate with some more hard work on the HIVE network.
Of course there are numerous more communities and people that I may forgotten to mention, but they will understand me 😁
HIVE ride has become a part from my lifestyle and I enjoy it everyday.
My new goals?
I think that 2700-2800 hive power by the end of the year is real and why not 3000? We have a bit more than 6 months till the end of December, so that’s a pretty long time. I also will be happy to see my HBD savings to be about 1000$ or more.
I have to mention that my account has never been boosted from outside the network and all growth is thanks to posting and various activities here. I’m not thinking of boosting it “artificially” and will give all my efforts to grow it as much as I can.
All I can say to my friends here is a huge THANKS. Thank you for making my experience here great!
