How to Pronounce Japanese Vowels (Hint: you're probably doing it wrong!)

The first step to good pronunciation is listening and learning how to pick out some of the subtle differences in vowel sounds. DISCLAIMER: I am not a native speaker of Japanese, so this video is more about teaching you to recognize the difference between vowel sounds and how that applies to Japanese. While I give plenty of examples of Japanese words to illustrate my points, do listen to native Japanese speakers (anime and songs are actually really great places to go. Anime VAs have very good diction) and try to emulate what you hear from them.
