In this video, I use formant data from Wikipedia to synthesize some vowels by putting the excitation/source signal through a set of 2 bandpass filters.
(In case you were wondering: No, I don't know why I start talking all weird whenever I watch my voice in a sonogram... I think it's kind of like that weird urge you get to pull faces when you look at yourself in a mirror.)
