One day, two years ago, I spontaneously walk into art supplies shop. I bought set of acrylic paints, brushes, few canvases, and thought: let’s give it a try…

I always had this idea that I would like to paint, but never actually tried. I didn’t have any expectations to be any good at this, and I still don’t expect anything but to have some kind of hobby which help me to relax, to focus and empty my thoughts of all the daily buzz that keeps buzzing in my head from too much informations, problems or work.

Sometimes I don’t take brush in my hands for few months, because I simply don’t have time, inspirations or need for that. And sometimes I’m making something every day, usually at night, when I finish all my daily chores and work.
It was funny to try paint with brush, I didn’t know how to hold it in my hand. I always had this habit of drawing in my notebooks during lectures or meetings, but I never actually try to draw or paint something concrete.

First phase of my “painting career” were poppies. Poppies and sunflowers are my favourite flowers. I was, and I still am, obsessed with them. Thera are some of my poppies, from first, two years ago, to last, two months ago.
