The desire to take photographs was sparked by witnessing the affectionate love of animals.
However, I was truly surprised to witness such a scene during the journey, even though it lasted only a brief moment. Then, I observed the two of them trying to sharpen their gaze upon one another for a prolonged period, while exchanging glances that revealed their beautiful sentiments.
In Bangladesh, these particular dogs typically give birth to large litters during the winter season. Winter fosters an environment where they mate and are driven to expand their lineage; however, the urge to reproduce intensifies not at the onset of winter, but rather when the cold becomes more intense. They safely deliver their offspring in sheltered spots—such as near the house, in a corner of a room, by a window, or on a balcony—and stand guard over them day and night. Furthermore, for the first two and a half to three months, the mother must leave the pups to forage for food—a truly arduous task for her. During this time, there is no other guardian for the offspring; the mother alone raises them.
The lives of these animals are truly difficult; as street dogs, they often do not get proper meals and spend much of their time sleeping. Yet, they are friendly and readily interact with people. They lead an open life, surviving on food found on the streets. I hope their boundless affection earns everyone's trust. Thank you all.
