The thought of going back to school has made my youngest son fearful. He enjoyed online classes at home and doesn't know how he will catch up to a regular class. He feels like these two on the boat with their hair all frayed.
When everything is peaceful and calm and going well, that's the time to be ready. That's the time the storm hits. 2020 is no joke. We really need words of life and encouragement.
The top picture I sketched while reading Matthew chapter 8. The exact words are, "You of little faith. Why are you so afraid?" That's a good question. Why are we afraid. A great man said, "There is nothing to fear but fear itself." It is the Spirit of fear that binds us. We have the way to be free. We call, "Abba, Father!" And we are set free from the spirit of fear.
I taught my youngest to paint and tell stories while painting. It is a kind of free painting where he talks and paints. This has helped him with concentration. After this he started to write down stories. I believe for kids struggling with writing it is best to let them write anything they want. And just like the paiting he made, to speak anything he wants to speak.
The last picture is a picture of me I took Saturday when looking for new glasses. I haven't posted this picture anywhere yet. Around my neck there is something that looks like a handkerchief or a hand. That is my mask. I took it off for the picture.
I thought I would go with the same theme fear and cartoon myself. I have been afraid to do youtube style talking videos about life in Korea. I need to overcome my fear and do it for God's glory.
As long as I do it there is nothing holding me back, but if I don't do it then I will never know.
Peace
