Every week, @splinterlands posts a challenge for players to post about their battle, using a specific card or splinter. This weekβs challenge, is to use Grumpy Dwarf.
Ruleset
All monsters have the sneak ability, which allows the monster to attack from any position and all minters must have 4 or less mana.
Here is my battle:

So, here was the team I put together:
Since, Grumpy Dwarf is a Neutral Monster, I began by choosing my summoner. I picked, Malric Inferno- a powerful Fire Summoner! Malric is at level 4 and adds an attack stat to each melee monster!!
Malric is a unique curiosity in the already diverse Burning Lands. He is a spectre of fire with powerful attacks of his own, but he is also extraordinarily brilliant. Malric has graduated from every Ferexia school, including the prestigious Summun Infuria. He is especially skilled in boosting the attack power of his monsters.
I was already feeling confident, but letβs get to my monster line-up!
My Monster Lineup
In my tank position, I chose Cerberus! This card is from the Fire Splinter and has some pretty good stats. It has decent speed, attack, and health- but I really like its abilities especially Heal, which restores part is its health, each round. It is also a Malay monster, so it gets a buff from the summoner.
Grumpy Dwarf followed. I mainly chose him because he is this weekβs challenge. Heβs not very impressive, but the low mana fit perfectly in the rule-set!
I then chose, Serpentine Spy. This cardβs speed is pretty impressive! Even though the health stats kind of suck, his speed allows him to get in some good strikes before he died! Serpentine Spy is also a melee, so it gets a summoner buff!
Elven Cutthroat was chosen to be in the fourth position. This card has OK stats, but I like him for itβs speed! This card is also a melee monster, so he got a buff as well!
Kobold Miner was fifth. His low mana and golden glow, made him the perfect choice! He is also a melee monster, so Malricβs buff, made for a better attack!
Fire Demon, anchored the team. I chose this card mainly for the decent range attack and speed. The heath was just OK. I knew he would die relatively quickly, but he could Quickly inflict some nice damage on the enemy.
My battle went 3 rounds, and I only lost 2 monsters. I was very happy with the team I assembled, and was very pleased with my victory βπ½
This battle netted me 53.315 DEC! Thatβs about 42 cents for simply winning a battle in a fun game! Thatβs crazy π
