Joe Biden served 36 years in the U.S. Senate (Grassley is at 38 and counting). That's... uh... too long, in my professional opinion (Biden served for double what I would want from a senator). Here are my guidelines for what we should be seeing from the House of Representatives and the Senate:
Will this fix the American Republic? Probably not.
Will this stop the bitter political infighting in the House and Senate? Maybe a little.
Will this end the practice of out-of-touch career politicians making up random bullshit and calling it a day? To an extent, sure.
What this will do, I would certainly hope, is show Americans that the U.S. government is willing to restrain itself (something that we've been seeing very little of recently).
