The count down to Christmas officially begins today. But for most people at my place of work, it started since the first day of November. Christmas to most of us in my country is not only about the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. But the period of reflection, rest, planning, love, refreshment and reunion. Yes! That's what the birth and celebration of the birth of Christ bring to us.
I don't know the master minds behind the world calendar, but I know there is wisdom in making the Christmas celebration to fall at the same time with end of the year. " And God rested on the seventh day" the holy Bible recorded. I don't think it was a coincidence to have recorded that , but a deliberate action to inculcate the importance of rest to mankind as the coming of Jesus is to take away our burden and give us rest. Could that be the reason for the draft men of the world calendar to put the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ at the same time with end of the year?

However, the planning for Christmas covers the refreshment, reunion, love and rest. And to execute these plans, you need money. That's why since November most of us begin to save some amount everyday to actualise the plans. That's actually when our count down begins.
In very story plot, there is a point called the climax, this is the point at which the conflict reach it's peak and every action becomes heated. The feeling one get at such point while reading a story, is almost the same feeling one get when Christmas approaches. And when the Christmas is finally over, one get refreshed and have the feeling like he is starting afresh. That is what the birth of Christ, assured us of, a new beginning. As he who have accepted Christ is a new creature.
To have that reunion during Christmas, item 7 (food) is a necessary blend to share in the love of Christ with brethren. It is in that spirit, that some kill chickens and others goats or cow to enjoy the feast on the Christmas day as we celebrate the arrival of the birth of the one that took away the sin of the world.
And lastly, creating a Christmas hive community, is another sure way for us to share our experience, plans and joy on hive with friends all over the world not minding the physical distance.
