Is it really a sin? If yes, then our wiring was faulty right from the beginning. I mean greed, is it a sin to you? Your answers will depend on the perspective you choose to see it.
Greed is a desired sin moulded by the uncertain of tomorrow. In this article I choose not to see it as a sin though. The insatiable nature of man makes greed the mother of expansion. We all want more to ourselves, which is a good thing to desire. We are animals that have desires, fear, ambition and need for power. In that respect, man need greed to conquer his fear of being in lack tomorrow, so he have to gather everything for himself today, to erase the fear of lack for tomorrow. Greed in this perspective have help man to make plans and gather for the future and not to be unnecessarily wasteful.

Greediness has helped man to create even more. It is out of curiosity to know more or acquire more that had brought about many inventions. You can't be contented with what you have and have the desire to create more. When you have the desire to have more of that knowledge, that money, that wealth or more of that food to yourself , it expand your brain to put on your thinking cap, when you want more, you must create more to it. It's then left for you to decide whether the creativity should be in the positive or negative side. One thing that is common with the richest people in the world is the need for more. Everyday they are in the news trying to do one thing or the other. That is because they want more to themselves, therefore, they have to create more to maintain their position or selfishly cling to the title as the richest man in the world.
Having said that, one can decide to be greedy in a way that it affect others negatively. This can happen when one decide to hold for himself alone what should be for all. This is greediness at a negative perspective. This greediness do not create, but withhold more than should be for him. The greediness in this level want more but create nothing and eat from what should be for others.
