Chindum lie wasted at a corner inside madam mercy's beer parlour, snoring heavily, when the noise of a sexual moaning woke him up. He woke up and followed the direction of the moaning to an uncompleted building, there stood the second wife of the king and onuwu (the king maker) shaking his waist like a dog in its heat.

As it is with alcohol gluttons, they are loquacious. Chindum is not different. But he has a special skill in storytelling that keeps everyone laughing and fascinated. But he tells the story in batches, each batch is bribed with a keg of local alcohol drink(burukutu).

Madam Mercy loves his presence in her beer parlour, even though he hardly buys any drink but remains the highest consumer of her drink any day he is in her shop.

"Tell us more, what happened that night after you went to the uncompleted building?" kachalum is now curious to know more of the story after Chindum had stopped telling the story. " two keg of palm wine before I continue" Chindum said while wearing a mischievous smile. " madam mercy, bring two keg of palm wine for Chindum" kachalum ordered. As I crawl quietly to the building, the woman was even screaming the more, she was enjoying it. And the big head man was standing hanging on her like a bat. He continued, stopping intermittently to Sip the palm wine after saying few words.

His skillful storytelling skills were known in the whole community. And all his stories are true, especially when he had gluttonously taken an alcohol.

Like wildfire, the story of Chindum seeing a married woman in an uncompleted building committing adultery has spread wild. Madam mercy's beer parlour has been the regular joint for the community people, not only for the drink but also to listen to the story of Chindum about the adulterous woman.
"This is an abomination for such great sin to happen in our community." the king had said after hearing the story that was trending in the community. He summoned Chindum into his palace, " Chindum, there is This story I heard about you seeing an abominable act in this village, disclose to me now what you saw that night." the king said, looking all serious. " your highness, some knowledge are wounds to the soul, and are better not to be known, your highness," Chindum said. "I order you to tell me the story now, or you see my wrath" the king said. " OK sir, but my story comes with a price, if you need the undaunted truth" Chindum said as he sat relaxed on a plastic chair waiting for his price. " Bring him 20 litre of palm wine" the king ordered one of the guards that was standing beside him.

Chindum was now sitting with 20 litre of palm wine in front of him gulping it down his throat slowly like a snake that had swallowed a big rat while telling the story but skipping the names of the culprits. " Give us the names now and stop wasting our time," the king furiously commanded him. " I will tell the names, but first, I have to be careful so that my mouth won't cut my neck" he said and his eyes were now red and was sweating profusely. " I want the king to promise me that no harm will befall me after I call the names," he continued. " I promise no harm will come your way, no one can dare that. Now call the names." the king said.

"The culprits are onuwu and lolo your second wife." Chindum said, the king that was now standing fell back to his chair. The guard that was standing close to the king slapped Chindum on the right side of his cheeks and the elders of the village that were present there were all murmuring among themselves. But Some of them were not surprised knowing the kind of person the onuwu is. "shut that your stinking glutton mouth there.'' The king sounded furious and his whole body was shaking in fear, knowing the story may be true, as the glutton Chindum had never lied before. '' your highness, this matter is a serious allegation, the accused persons have to be summoned immediately." one of the elders said. Before the onuwu arrived, after being summoned, lolo the second wife of the king was on her knees crying begging for forgiveness, she could not deny it after the question of her infidelity was put to her unexpectedly.

The Lolo and onuwu were banished from the land. Allowing them to stay will incur the anger of the gods to the village. And the name of Chindum became even more famous as the glutton that never tells lies.
