Honestly this represents a challenge for me, because I am not an expert cartoonist but I like it and with these contests I challenge myself to improve. Some time ago I wanted to make a self-portrait and with this contest I found the perfect excuse and inspiration to dare. I hope you like it and forgive me if I don't look exact but this is my first attempt.

The Process

To make the drawing I chose my profile picture.

The first thing I did was to draw all the lines very softly and then accentuate them a little more.

After I had the sketch finished I started to emphasize the eyebrows, eyes, mouth and nose.

I spent time on the face because it was difficult for me to draw the mouth and teeth.

Once the mouth was finished I started with the lines and shadows on the face.

After the face I continued remarking and painting the hair, then I painted the T-shirt and the bracelet.

Then I gave shadows and finally I digitalized the image to give it a little more contrast.
