Today I want to share how I made a ceiling light. I really didn't know if it would turn out well and I didn't take many pictures of the process, but I must say that it is very simple and looks great on the ceiling.
We have already made one with several small wooden boards, but we wanted a different one, so we searched the web and found several simple models that looked very nice.
Hola Chicos! Hoy quiero compartir como hice una l谩mpara para el techo. Realmente no sab铆a si saldr铆a bien y no tom茅 muchas fotos del proceso, pero debo decir que es muy sencilla y luce muy bien en el techo.
Ya hemos hecho una con varias tablas peque帽as de madera, pero quer铆amos una diferente, as铆 que buscamos en la web y encontramos varios modelos sencillos y que luc铆an muy bonitos.
We finally opted for a model that looked more like an ornament for a flower pot, but it was easy to make. With several crossed sticks and a piece of chain, you can create something nice like this one I show you below.
Al final nos decidimos por un modelo que parec铆a mas a un adorno para una maceta, pero que era f谩cil de hacer. Con varios palitos cruzados y un trozo de cadena, puedes crear algo bonito como esta que les muestro a continuaci贸n.
To make it, I asked my husband to cut several sticks in 15 cm each, then I painted them with wood stain, as they are very light sticks I chose to glue them with hot silicone. I glued them as shown in the pictures. In total I used 26 sticks, and two pieces of wood of 2 x 15 cm each.
To hang it to the ceiling, we used a wooden base that we screwed to the base where the previous bulb was. I divided one meter of chain into four parts and held the lamp by its four corners.
My husband did the electrical installation. Honestly, it was not easy to hang it to the ceiling but after several attempts and tricks, in the end it was ready and lighting perfectly.
Para realizarla, le ped铆 a mis esposo que cortara varios palitos en 15 cm cada uno, luego los pint茅 con tinte para madera, como son palos muy livianos opt茅 por pegarlos con silicona caliente. Los fui pegando como muestro en las im谩genes. En total us茅 26 palitos, y dos pedazos de madera de 2 x 15 cm cada una.
Para colgarlo al techo, usamos una base de madera que atornillamos en la base donde estaba el bombillo anterior. Divid铆 un metro de cadena en cuatro partes y sujet茅 la l谩mpara por sus cuatro esquinas.
Mi esposo hizo la instalaci贸n el茅ctrica. Honestamente no fue nada f谩cil colgarla al techo pero despu茅s de varios intentos y hacer varios trucos al final qued贸 lista y alumbrando perfectamente.
