So I've been making videos on DTube for a couple of weeks now. It's been a lot of fun, and there have been lot of lessons to learn along the way.
Making videos has turned out to be a hell of a lot more fun than I expected, and this is coming from a hard-core introvert.
But I feel like I should tell you the lessons that I've learned over my first couple of weeks doing this.
So here are the lessons that I've learned over my first couple of weeks as a "DTuber".
Think about your background when making videos. Naturally, your lighting is more important, but if you can make your video with a decent backdrop, it will be all the better for it.
Stare directly at the camera lens when filming your video (thanks 
Create an interesting snap for your video thumbnail. Mine aren't amazing, due to my limited photoshop skills, but throw some text in there and perhaps something that grabs attention. It makes all the difference.
Be careful with your music if you want to include some. I recently made the error of having the music set way too loud, and it destroyed the quality of my video.
If you're introverted like me, you might be prone to talking in a monotone. This can be hard to change, but practice adding some modulation to your voice. It's something that comes with continual practice (or so I'm told). So, practice while making videos.
And along with the sentiment of that last point, just start creating videos. The only real way to learn is through practicing. Don't worry about how crap your gear is, I'm only using my phone. I'll get better gear soon enough, but for now I want to practice and get my content out there, and if you're interested in making videos then you should too.
