While it was freezing at this very moment, the weather had been generous and allowed its rays of sunshine to provide a little warmth. The winds were not violent but held a certain level of gust as they swept past. The air was thin here and it took some time to adjust to, nonetheless it was a moment to enjoy as I had finally ascended atop this beautiful mountain.
The challenge that had been presented before me had been met with ample preparation and I was finally standing at the very top of it all. While the endeavour was far from over, the days and weeks spent hiking in a collaborative effort to keep active and fit to face the next extremity of this mountain had finally paid off.
