The talk about money and passion is almost a talk of everyday, where people keep thinking if they are so work for the money or for passion. Working for passion is in a situation where someone is working out of willingness, interest and motivation to work in such field. I have a lot of colleague in this Medical Profession that will always tell me, they are here for the passion they have in medical practice. However it is somehow impossible to work for a long time for just passion without earning an income from it.. There is a way our psychology IS programmed that when you start to think about something and it is not favoring you, when we are there that you start liking interest from it. However when you make a lot of money or income from a work which you do without having a passion for it, psychologically you might end up developing a passion for it, however people will say you develop passion for making money and not for the work. Just like me I have always wanted to be a medical practitioner that is the passion but then with the mindset that, I will make a lot of money from it. I'm not just into this profession just for the passion alone.
"Passion Without Earning Kills Interest". Financial stability is one of the major thing and individual should always look out for in life. And as we are also talking about passion which should also know that most of the time we work for passion we end up putting our own income into it. So tell me how you will be able to keep going, working for passion, when you don't have what to sustain yourself for the passion. In as much as we want to work for passion which should also consider working for money. Just as we graduated from Midwifery College, there was a nearby hospital where I and my friend applied for, after everything I wrote application letter to the hospital same with my friend, and at the end of the day, they didn't respond to it, what are my friend was working for them helping them in some of their hospital activities without being paid. When I was told about that at first it was nothing to worry about, but at the second thoughts I told him he's not necessary to be working there when they are not paying and we apply to be their employee, so if they need our service they should then employ us.
Working for passion and money can always work in hand in hand, I don't think any of these should surrender for each other, neither will passion surrender for money nor money surrender for passion. Because when you work for just money you might not really be comfortable with the work and may end up lacking effective planning that you should have done via the income. As we work for money which should also have passion over what we work for. And at the same time as we have passion for something we should also make sure that we earn from it and not just a passion. However if you are talking about one which can do without each other we can say that working for money can actually stand on its own even without having passion over the work. Many Nigerian will attest today's that the work which they are doing today that give them income is not what they have passion in, rather it is what give them income and they just have to hold on to it. So remember, Passion Without Earning Kills Interest.
