Not a good thing they did even though they got what they wanted. They would have find another way to demonstrate and lay their complaints order than stopping others from doing their businesses.
On the other hand, they probably have been giving government warnings for a long time but got ignore so they decided to take such action.

But no matter what, halting and disrupting other people's businesses and property in order to get what you want is not justifiable.
