The preparation was done within the space of one week. The inconclusive clearing of some portions of the land slowed it down.
After the land was being cleared, the next step is to get things put in place - like purchase of tools and materials required.
Maize :
Initially, I planned to plant only maize here. Here's the Maize I bought for the planting. They are 10 about modules.
Since the land is big, I bought guinea-corn to plant alongside with the maize.
Chemicals:
This chemical is a substance that will be used to kills grasses without needing to spend time and energy cutting or weeding them.
I bought 7 chemicals. The amount is actually an estima. If these are not enough, I will buy more.
Moreso, I bought 1 Atrazine. It is an ingredient powder that will be mixed together with the chemicals.
Tools:
I actually don't want to spend more money. In order to reduce my cost, I will be using my friends tools and equipment. Those who I will employ to get the planting done for me will also come along with theirs.
Bargaining:
Here, was bargaining with one of the persons who will be assisting me for the planting. They will be five in numbers and he estimated it would take about 3 days before completing. First and second day for planting while the third day will be used for spraying of chemicals.
The Plot is estimated to be 7 to 10 plots using 100 by 100 scale.
I tried uploading the video but to no avail. That could have helped show the size of the proposed land when I was communicating with one of the workers.
So this is actually the first time planting will be done here after some years. The land is a strong so we will have to wait for more rain to fall in order to soften the ground. Moreso, there will be no building ridges for this.
