Today, I present to you my new art work with a different style. I missed drawing with cross hatching. I decided to try it out with my portrait drawing today.
The model I used is Arne Slot. He is the current head coach of a top club in England, Liverpool. Results have not been going well for them in the last 3 games. 3 straight losses.
Initially, when I started the drawing using this method, it was stiff. Sometimes, I felt like switching to scribble or even combining both. But then, I maintained my momentum and sticked to my Initial plan - cross hatching.
I love the outcome. It looks neat and with precise patterns unlike scribbling.
The sketch was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper. Below are my steps:
