Traxia (TMT) Overview — FinTech Gets Decentralized

What is Traxia?

Traxia is a non-profit with plans to incorporate blockchain technology within the $43 trillion industry that is Financial Technology (FinTech). They’re currently running the first Cardano-based ICO after Cardano invested in the Traxia ecosystem (through their investment team at Emurgo).

The partnership began after Cardano took notice of Traxia’s aim in the FinTech marketplace. Traxia believes Cardano is built on a superior system compared to its competitors.

What is FinTech?

According to Wikipedia, Financial Technology is defined as “a new financial industry that applies technology to improve financial activities”.

The current technology has been tasked with automating things like insurance and risk management, however the (already) outdated system only allows banks to finance 7% of the total $43 trillion market.

The primary financial product the Traxia whitepaper describes upgrading is known in the financial world as factoring, which is when a company sells an unpaid invoice to a third-party for a discount.

Who’s Building Traxia?

LiqEase is taking on the development of Traxia’s back end. The company was founded by Tobias Pfütze and Florian Zeim who employ a team with expertise in building and maintaining successful digital products in FinTech, supply-chain management, and software.

The LiqEase website describes their work as such: “LiqEase digitizes assets using modern blockchain technology with the goal to reduce payment terms for SMEs in B2B trade and provide investors with the opportunity to profit from such a new asset class.”

When Does Traxia Launch?

The pre-sale is currently underway and offers a 10% discount until April 29th, 2018.

Traxia Membership Tokens (TMT) are set to hit exchanges June 6th, 2018.

Traxia’s ecosystem is scheduled to be fully built on Cardano’s blockchain by Q4 of 2018.
