africa in one place is not africa in another place https://p.dw.com/p/2bblm

zambia is currently using up trees faster than they plant causing charcoal producers to travel out futher from lusaka. since the population if nigeria is growing fast, so is the demand for wood, this will happen in Nigeria sooner or later _ if it is not happening already.

Namibia generally has a very dry climate. like so dry if u wash clothes, the ants will come and steal water from the clothes. nor can you leave out a glass of water because of ants XD. hence the landscape i see around Windhoek is basically a few dry bushes here and there. not a proper forest.

since around Antarctica there is more cold air and around Africa more hot air (due to different angle of sun exposure) the air will exchange temperature with cold air going north and hot air going south. due to the earths rotation, the air does not exchange in a straight direction, causing zones to appear where there are west wind and east wind. hence there is more rainfall in one zone than in another zone. additionally there are cold water streams coming from melting glaciers from Antarctica causing larger temperature gradients to appear in the surrounding oceans. depending if the ocean on the Africa side is currently hot or cold, the cloud formation is then either increased or decreased. hence you have floods in Mozambique after a long drought, as the direction of the temperature gradient switches sides. meanwhile you have the opposite climate currently in Australia, which is connected to Mozambique by the Indian ocean. im no expert in this, but these are 2 factors about rainfall that i know of....
