In my area, many people call this particular grasshopper a ground grasshopper. Its population is widely distributed throughout my area, so we can easily find it, especially around rice fields. This grasshopper has gray and dark brownish-black colors, which make it very easy to spot when it lands on green leaves or grass, and vice versa when it lands on the ground or on trees.
I personally managed to find this grasshopper in front of my house. At that time, it was perched on one of my ornamental plants, and then it jumped onto the ground when I tried to approach it. I managed to capture its beauty from several different angles, and the results also looked very detailed because I photographed it with the help of a macro lens.This particular grasshopper is also a pest for various types of plants, so we should not underestimate its presence. However, I am not too worried as long as its population is not yet too large.
