I once again managed to find a flower fly resting on a wildflower in my cocoa plantation. Even though I have found this particular fly quite often, I still almost always mistake its appearance for that of a small bee. I even have to look at it from a fairly close distance to identify that it is actually a flower fly.
Most likely, this fly was sucking nectar from one of the wildflowers. It kept flying from one flower to another, and that was an opportunity for me to capture its beauty through my macro lens. When it was resting on the wildflower, I was able to photograph it quite easily because I had already been targeting it from the beginning. I also approached it very slowly so that I would not make excessive movements and would not make this little fly feel threatened.
However, because it was so incredibly small, I had a very difficult time getting the subject into focus with my lens. There were even some pictures that were not very satisfying, or in other words, they were blurry. But I was still very satisfied because I managed to capture the beauty of such a tiny insect as well as I possibly could.
Okay friends, now I will share some pictures of this flower fly here.
