This is one of the serious agricultural pests that causes a lot of concern. It is a very frightening-looking hairy caterpillar. This particular caterpillar can easily be found in plantations, where it usually rests on young plants and feeds on young twigs and leaves.
Its presence makes farmers feel uneasy and worried, so one of the options is to spray it with pesticide. At that time, I was curious to try photographing it, and with the help of a macro lens, I was able to capture every detail of this caterpillar quite clearly. This caterpillar is black, with bluish branched hairs and orange patterns on its head. These hairs look like spines, but I don't know whether they are venomous or not. However, judging from its appearance, this caterpillar is most likely capable of causing itching and swelling if someone accidentally touches it.
From some of the pictures above, we can also see that this caterpillar is feeding on leaves. Fortunately, the plant it is eating is a wild plant.
And now, I would like to share some pictures of this caterpillar here. I hope the pictures I have shared will bring some enjoyment to all of my friends.
