I eventually managed to spot a blue dragonfly in my cocoa plantation. This particular dragonfly is neither too large nor too small, and it is known for being incredibly skittish, making it very difficult to locate and approach. I found this one perched motionless on a young Ketapang leaf. What really captivated me was its stunning blue color, accented by a rusty-orange hue on the sides of its thorax. I used to see this type of dragonfly frequently in my area, but its population has since declined drastically; in fact, I had forgotten the last time I encountered one. When I saw it resting on the leaf, I immediately tried to approach and photograph it. Fortunately, I managed to capture a clear, precise shot, allowing us to fully appreciate the dragonfly's beauty in the images I am sharing here. I am delighted by the presence of such unique insects in my plantation; they offer a beautiful sight and serve as my companions while I work. Moreover, I understand that dragonflies are not considered crop pests, so I have no concerns about their population.
