While my friends and I were sitting on the porch, we witnessed a fascinating sight: a house lizard attempting to catch a dragonfly. It was an amazing spectacle, as I could observe the lizard’s careful, precise, and patient approach. It waited for the dragonfly to draw nearer while slowly inching closer itself; just as I expected, the lizard eventually succeeded in catching the dragonfly by biting down on it. The process took quite a while, but the effort paid off. Lizards are wild creatures, highly sensitive to the slightest movement, making them difficult to approach; nevertheless, I was curious to photograph this particular lizard with the dragonfly in its jaws. I moved toward it very cautiously to avoid making it feel threatened, and I ultimately succeeded in capturing the shot. However, I only managed to take three photos before the lizard scurried away. In the images I am sharing here, you can see a medium-sized lizard with a dragonfly in its mouth—likely already dead, as I observed no movement from it whatsoever. While the scene might appear a bit gruesome—with the dragonfly as the victim—it is simply a normal part of the natural world, where every living creature strives to find food to survive.
Okay friends, now I will share some pictures of this gecko here.
