This is a photo of a butterfly pea flower bud, a plant that is currently very popular in my area. It turns out the flower can be used to make a tea with a refreshing, natural flavor, and I was quite curious to try it. The good news is that this plant is abundant in my region and can easily be found almost anywhere. Because it grows so prolifically—spreading like a vine and often climbing over surrounding trees—many farmers actually consider it a nuisance or a weed. In the bud stage, the flower appears purple, but once it blooms, the color shifts to a blue-violet hue; honestly, it is incredibly beautiful, and its relatively large size makes that beauty visible even from a distance. Making tea from it is very simple: you just place the flower in a glass, pour in hot water, and add a little sugar syrup. Butterfly pea tea offers numerous health benefits, including supporting skin health and helping to regulate blood sugar levels. Since the bud is quite small, I decided to photograph it using a macro lens, and I was extremely pleased with the results, as every detail of the flower is clearly visible.
