Hello and Welcome!!
Today I'll give a quick recommendation for a series:
"The Ozarks"
It's a Netflix original show and it's one of my favorites they have.
It's starting Jason Bateman has a money launderer for a Mexican cartel. He and his family need to leave Chicago and go to the more rural settings of the Ozarks.
There he and his family try to stay above water and alive.
It's a great show, very well written, executed and acted.
It's quite realistic and intelligent.
The evolution of the characters is quite interesting and so are the secondary characters. For example, the son is a very, very interesting character and we get the fell that he could have an (even more) interesting series around him, once he grows up.
The narrative is also quite interesting and it develops quite smoothly.
It's also interesting that despite being a standard crime story... Mexican cartel etc... it's about the characters and places that we haven't seen to death. Like a once honest financial advisor and the rural vacation destination of the Ozarks.
Personally, I've been a bit disappointed with most netflix originals of late... but this one is making the mark and leaving a seal of quality. It looks like they took their time and put more money than usual... Not counting the most expensive show's they have.
Good prodution, good story, good directing, good acting, good music...
As always, thank you for reading.
