Quilotoa Lagoon
The Quilotoa, is a beautiful landscape of mountains and lagoons, is located near the small town of Quilotoa Ecuador, is near the southwest of the lake, and is the best place to see the lake. When the Quilotoa volcano erupted for the last time in 1280, it left an open caldera 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) wide, which is now filled with bright turquoise water.
