This is an article and blog which is necessary for every automobile owner, maintenance officer.
Whenever there is an incident that warrants a servicing, there are certain procedures to be taken so that all servicing protocols will be in place. Let's start with pulling the car into the workshop. After carefully parking the vehicle, you locate your registered automobile repair guy. From experience, the repair guy would eventually want to know the reason for your visit.
As an automobile engineer, I advice that you start the engine, check if there is any fault that indicates on the dashboard. Switch off the engine, then remove the sump plug and drain the engine oil. Then you could also remove the oil filter and the air filter. The air filter could be dirty or dusty, then you could clean them up and replace them.
Never forget to check the tension of the belt, this has to be confirmed because if the tension is free, then the adjuster would be adjusted properly. Using 16mm socket spanner attached to an extension handle would be used to remove the spark plugs, this has to be properly inspected because there are various scenarios where there would be soot deposited on the end of the plugs. Any plugs which is bad should be replaced.
The radiator should also be checked so that if the radiator coolant has gone below the lower level indicator.
