God has given us all that pertains to life and Godliness,

Therefore shun ungodliness with all sincerity

To my family of Steemchurch International Ministry, and to all Steem family, I say hello 👋.

I read a post from a sister and a parishioner of Steemchurch who captioned her blog post and said “I’ve learned how to number my days”. Indeed we’re living in a time when we all should understand that time is short and thereby live our lives as we ought to, working out our salvation in fear trembling.

Yesterday I shared with us the understanding about the grace of God, and I also promised that we’re going to look at the 7 virtue that this grace of God is teaching us of which if we live by, then we’ll be granted entrance to life everlasting.

The purpose of God’s grace is eternal because God is eternal, though it takes care of things concerning our physical existence but all is geared towards eternity, limiting the grace to physical things that ends here in this life is erroneous.

Just like I pointed out yesterday concerning grace, according to the testimony of our beloved brother Titus, these virtue should be our most life’s daily concerns, and they’re the things that accompanied salvation which grace should workout in us.

• Denying ungodliness
• Denying worldly lusts
• Living soberly
• Living righteously
• Living godly in this present world
• Looking for that blessed hope
• Looking for glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Denying ungodliness

Ungodliness is work of the flesh which attracts the wrath of God.

Romans 1:18 (KJV)
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

For God’s children to be saved, they must turn from ungodliness:

(KJV) For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Studying the scriptures and receiving help from the spirit of God through breathing in the writing words is a way of overcoming ungodliness.

2 Timothy 2:15-16 (KJV)
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
