No rain for 14 days, I helped my corn plants to escape the scourge of drouth.

When natural phenomenon as shortage of rain fail in cropping season happens, to me it should be a moment to think and give thanks again and again to the creator for the abundant free gifts and of seasons.

My little innocent plants was about to experience little drought due to a pause from natural rain. We call it August-brake. It happens yearly, and by August.

I intervened by applying water 🚿 to the crops to sustain them till rain resumes.

I’ve done this for several days now and it gives me joy seeing those plants happy.

Some passers by really appreciate what I do and how I care for those plants. Some promised to take care of their own crops as I do to mine especially at this trying time for the plants.

This is the second round of planting corn at this location as you can see on the picture above ; I’ve harvested the first set you’re seeing above and felt like going for a second time since it’s just by my compound. I tried to fortify the soil with natural compost to be able to yield again.

Helping nature and our environment to stay healthy and happy is everyone’s duty and I’m glad to see these plants growing even in this drought period.
