In very similar ways life leech is to scavenger there are also differences. Of course the similar is mainly that both abilities if activated will increase health of the monster. In addition majority of monsters of both abilities have low starting health stats. However major difference with life leech and scavenger can comes from life leech not being effect by rule set heal out. Today we look at the pros and cons of life leech.
Just be able to attack and the result is to gain health each time makes life leech that much more attractive to use. Then it may not be a surprise that majority of the monsters are in the death splinter for this type of ability to be used.
There are currently (16) cards that poses this ability with all splinters having at least two monsters with the ability, but death has (6). As of now no neutral monsters have this ability.
The weakness with life leech is the starting low health. All but three have a health of four or below to start at base level. With (3) monsters having only a health of one. Easy kills if those monsters are put into front of formation or facing opponent's with opportunity.
A good way to increase health is have summoner with health boost or monsters with Strengthen to boost friendly monsters' health. That way allows the monsters better opportunity to survive an attack.
In similar ways to scavenger it is helpful to have life leech monsters be first to attack therefore have higher odds of surviving. Only a miss attack would not allow life leech to gain health but other than that it is clear cut gain in health every time with these type of monsters.
Equal opportunity hands down is awful to life leech monsters. With one health monsters are the most vulnerable to opportunity. Another rule set to avoid with life leech is no magic. There are (10) out of the (16) monsters that have magic as attack. No magic will drops the field of options to choose from.
The most beneficial rule set with life leech is I think heal out. With a combo of multiple monsters having life leech while heal out is in play it can become a headache for opponents. For instance putting up a tanker monster in death splinter while flooding multiple monsters with life leech it can be a challenge to beat since the death monsters can progressively add health each round if it survives.
Its no wonder life leech leans mostly on death splinter since I personally think death can have multiple mix of combinations. There are times it seems death just have the advantage over all other splinters with its decreases or boosts stats. No other splinter has this much in mix of play but it makes it that much more fun.
Weakness I think with death splinter is that without a mix of abilities that help boost the formation or abilities that decreases opponents' stats its not ideal to use.
Until next time thanks for reading!!!
