The question where to store the cryptocurrency arises quite often. If it is a token on the ether, it's the easiest to store tokens in MyEtherWallet (further in the text MEW). Some tokens are not immediately displayed on the balance sheet. This means that they must be added manually. And today we will talk about how to do it.
First, you need to understand that all the ether tokens are sent to the same ether address in the MEW purse. But on exchanges for each token there is a separate address, so be careful! For example, you bought a PST token and sent it to your wallet in MEW, but it is not displayed there. What to do?
Go to the website Etherscan.io
In the upper right menu select Token-> View Tokens
In the search, enter the name or ticker of the token. In this case, the PST
The address of the token contract appears. Sometimes there will be several addresses, and then you have to choose the one that will be with a green tick.
Click on the needed address of the token and we will open a window with the data of the token. We will need a contract address, a ticker and Decimals (the number of decimal places).
Go to MEW and select "Add my Token" on the right
Enter the data in the appropriate fields and click the "Save" button
The token is added and its balance will be displayed in the wallet.
The procedure is not complicated and takes just a couple of minutes. Use and protect your tokens!
