Ono DApp and its functions

Ono Social Decentralized Application will be a mobile device application that will utilize the EOS blockchain technology and will have Ono Tokens as its reward system and commodity for content, applications, and add-ons that will be developed for it.

It will run on both Android and IOS and development is already underway for a desktop version.

It will run fundamental ecosystem and two cyclic ecosystems.

Fundamental Ecosystem

It will refer to the Instant messaging and content that will be published in the platform. So it is broken down into the following:

My Story

This is your basic interface which you can create content that has a character limit of about 400. You can also add videos, photos, and links. You can also do the following:

Release My Story - you have the option to have your content limited to friends or have it open to the world
Focus on Friends - this will only publish to your friends
Check Stories of Friends - read the stories of your friends
Repost - Repost a story of others
Reply - Reply
Save - Save for future viewing
Like - the more likes a content will have the more chances it will be seen by others
Reward - use Ono Tokens to reward content
Dislike - use Ono Tokens to show your dislike on a content
Sharing within and outside the platform - user can opt to allow or not allow for his/her content to be shared outside of Ono. If allowed to views coming from outside will also be factored in especially if advertisement earnings was enabled by the user.

Encrypted End to End chat

One of the things that we didn't have in Steem was a chat function. We had to rely on the memo system and using a third party application like Steem.chat and of course Discord.

Sometimes you just want to talk to someone and Ono has the function and the beauty of it is since it is an end to end encryption the message is safe.

The sender creates a message, the server and nodes encrypt it and temporarily saved and then sent to the receiver and once received and read, the data is removed from the server and will only appear in the mobile device of the sender and receiver.

That is a great function in my opinion.

1st Cyclic Ecosystem: Developer Ecosystem

Ono will open its infrastructure and will be utilized in what is called My Box. It will consist of two parts, one will be the various functions and apps developed by the internal Ono Tech team and the other will be opened to users and developers to be able to create apps, plugins and, interfaces that will work in the platform thus giving the users a unique experience that they can customize according to their taste.

2nd Cyclic Ecosystem: Referendum Mechanism

This is what setting Ono apart from other platforms as this will be the avenue to vote and select the 51 Super Partners, create proposals, fundraising, voting of all people and publishing the results.

The foundation of the Referendum is to ensure that freedom, equality, and social public governance is prevalent on the platform.

ONO has as its guiding principle: “The interests of the users are more important than anything else.”

Each participant may create a question, file a complaint of abuse, create a fundraising or proposal for a certain action and each person will have one vote that is tagged on their unique digital identity in Ono.

Any proposal, fundraising or campaign will be lodged into the Referendum Mechanism and an announcement for votation will commence.

A proposal may be depending on the number of votes get for execution or non-passed due to lack of support.

This is where communities are really important and engagement because a certain number of votes will be needed to pass a resolution and from the Super Partners to the Community Partners and Volunteers will be important to get people to care and vote.
