"Paradise," answer of almost all people that have been to the famous tourist spot.
But what now? Is it still a paradise when we inhale ammonia combined in the sea breeze as we stroll on the powdery white sand?
Before President Duterte declared that the island needs to be shut down, people are aware about the part that it's a cesspool because of many establishments on the island, and we have to admit it. Concerned citizens have raised their outcries ages ago, but unfortunately, nobody listened.
The only solution that the government has found is that the island must face a temporary closure for a fast track effort in restoring Boracay's former glory.
Everyone's hoping for the best. With proper actions, Boracay will be the country's top tourist destination again.
