Awoken from my nightmarish dreams,
The sounds of wind Howling
Its fists beating against my windows.

Branches scraping,
Like fingernails againts the chilled glass.

Shadow creeping across the room
Seeking, searching
A lost child.

Wind howling still,
Like the ongoing, mournful cry of a wolf,
Baying at the full moon
