ALL
When all's said and done; only spirit will be left standing.
Only spirit will remain,
• so, hold on to it,
• fight for it;
• deny anyone or, anything
which threatens or seeks to diminish or steal your spirit from you.
We are going to need it when we get where we are going.
There is so much more to this 'life’ than we could ever imagine.
Don't let this cold, hard, ugly world, destroy your spirit before we get there...
I am rooting for every one of us,
and I am looking forward to meeting you all at the after party;
if not the finish line.
Where we will ALL laugh together.
Where we will ALL eat, drink and be merry together.
Remembering the good times and the bad times with equal fondness.
Because by then we will know and understand,
all that we were incapable of understanding properly while we were here.
We will understand the reasons why; and once we do; we will understand and cheerfully accept that those events occurred.
Because every struggle, every injustice, served a purpose.
For now, we cry under the burden, but once we leave this place,
we will readily accept that everything we went through while here
was necessary to prepare us for what comes next.
Never let anyone:
• Dull your shine,
• Dim your sparkle
• Steal your smile
• Cage your spirit
Defend your right to be exactly who you are,
because in the final analysis;
that is all we ever truly have...
