I agree that nostalgia makes remakes difficult to evaluate on their own terms. It reminds me of how Among Us developed its own identity instead of trying to recreate another game's formula. For Little House on the Prairie, I think the real question is whether this version can eventually stand on its own rather than constantly being compared with the original.
