TUTORIAL 1: INTRODUCTION TO GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS

I am starting a tutorial on GIS. Geographic information systems is a tool used in analysing , deleting and computing geographic data in which the results or the output is Map, charts and so on.
There are different ways of sourcing data for Geographic information systems which are Surveying, Cartography.
I would be teaching on the basics of Geographic information systems and how to make use of some of the soft wares used in this process.
