"Childhood isn't just a stage; it's the foundation of everything we will become." Anonymous In my opinion, childhood is the most beautiful stage of every person’s life, because that’s when the adults we’ll become begin to take shape. Values matter a great deal, which is why, as parents, we must do our very best to raise our children. There are three important things I miss about my childhood the ones that come to mind as I write this post and make me feel a little nostalgic.

**The first* and most important thing is that I really miss my parents; they were both great parents to me. I always remember that at 6 p.m. my dad would come home from work, and every single day he’d bring home two liters of juice and two liters of milk. He’d also always bring me a slice of pizza, palm-shaped cookies, or some other treat—he always brought me something. My mom, on the other hand, also worked for a while, and when she got home at 5 p.m., I’d run to see what she’d brought me and always grab her purse to look inside. She’d always bring me cookies—most of the time they were Maria cookies, which were my favorites. So both of them brought me things to eat, and I miss them both so much.

**Secondly**, and I was just thinking about this recently there were the games we played in the afternoons, especially on weekends. Several of my cousins lived in the houses next door; the houses were right next to each other, and I remember we played hide-and-seek, tag, marbles, kite flying, perilla, old car, cat and mouse, and countless board games. In the afternoons, we sometimes played until 8 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends, if they let us, even later— sometimes in my yard and other times in my cousins’ yard.

I remember we used to spend a lot of time together, and now we hardly ever see each other or talk like we used to. I think that as we grow up, we lose that closeness we had with some people; others do stay in touch. We were a big group when the other cousins came to visit. I also miss riding bikes together it was fun. **Third**, and the last thing I miss is the agility and not being afraid of anything. When we were kids, and just recently I was remembering a day when we were playing baseball in the backyard, I hit the ball and ran off. At that moment I thought, *** when I grow up, I won’t stop running like other adults; I’ll always play and run nimbly something that’s far from reality now, since running is the last thing I do, but I miss that. Besides that, I remember climbing trees; that was something I wasn’t afraid of, unlike other things. As a child, you’re more daring and fearless, so I miss being more daring, agile, and fearless.
